Your Fertility FAQs

What can I expect during a fertility consultation?
At your first fertility consultation, you’ll meet with a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist to discuss your medical history, family-building goals, and the fertility testing and treatment options best suited to your needs.
Each initial fertility consultation lasts about one hour, giving you ample time to connect with your doctor, ask questions, and discuss your goals in detail.

The cost of an initial fertility consultation is $350 for patients with a participating insurance provider, and this amount will be billed directly to your insurance company.

If you don’t have insurance, the cost of your initial consultation is $200.

We recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance to confirm any applicable copayments.

Following your consultation, your assigned Financial Coordinator will conduct a benefit check and provide an update on potential future costs based on your doctor’s recommended treatment plan.

For returning patients, the cost of a consultation is $295, which will also be billed to your insurance provider if you have participating coverage.

Yes, we recommend contacting your previous healthcare providers to gather any relevant medical records.

This may include documents from your OB/GYN, urologist, previous fertility clinic, endocrinologist, or other specialists. The more information your Illume doctor has about your reproductive health, the better they can tailor your care.

After your initial consultation, your dedicated Care Team—including your patient navigator, fertility nurse, and financial coordinator—will reach out to introduce themselves.

They’ll guide you through the next steps, such as scheduling fertility testing and knowing when to contact the office regarding your “Day 1.” Your financial coordinator will also complete an insurance benefit check based on your recommended treatment plan and provide an update on coverage and costs.

Yes, all information shared during your consultation is completely confidential and securely protected. Your privacy is our top priority.

During your initial and follow-up fertility consultations, you’ll meet with your primary doctor—one of our board-certified reproductive endocrinologists.

At Illume Fertility, we follow a collaborative care model, so you may see other doctors from our team during morning monitoring, testing, or additional appointments.

Whenever possible, we aim to schedule major milestones—such as embryo transfers—with your primary doctor. No matter which provider you see, you can feel confident knowing you’re always in expert hands
