Pregnancy loss is a deeply personal and heartbreaking experience — one that no one expects to face. At ConceptionIVF, we want you to know that you’re not alone in this journey. This page offers compassionate guidance, community connections, and professional support to help you process the grief of pregnancy or infant loss at your own pace.
While the statistics can feel overwhelming, they are also a reminder that many families have walked this same difficult path — and found healing through shared support, understanding, and care.
Whether your pregnancy ended early or later on, it’s natural to feel confusion, sadness, and a range of emotions that may take time to process.
Losses after 14 weeks are termed late miscarriages, while those after 20 weeks are classified as stillbirths. Every loss is unique, and every form of grief deserves compassion, validation, and space to heal.
Each October, families and advocates across the nation come together for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This month recognizes the experiences of parents and families who have faced loss, offering a safe space for remembrance, education, and support.
A highlight of this month is the Wave of Light, a global event held annually on October 15th. Families light candles at 7 PM local time to honor babies gone too soon, sharing their lights on social media using the hashtag #WaveOfLight — symbolizing unity, love, and remembrance across the world.
These networks connect you with others who understand — because shared stories can help lighten the weight of grief.
At ConceptionIVF, our goal is to walk beside you — not only through fertility treatment but through every emotional chapter that follows.
Our counseling partners and patient care team can connect you with licensed professionals experienced in infertility and pregnancy loss support. Compassionate therapy can help you process grief and find strength in your healing journey.
We believe in open dialogue about loss. Hear real stories from our community and trusted fertility specialists discussing the emotional and physical realities of pregnancy loss — and the courage it takes to move forward.
Join our online community to receive updates, events, and heartfelt stories that remind you that hope can grow again, even after loss.
Many of our patients have faced tremendous heartbreak before finding their rainbow. Their stories offer comfort, courage, and connection to those still grieving.

The majority occur due to chromosomal abnormalities in the embryo (aneuploidy), meaning the embryo wasn’t genetically viable. This is nature’s way of preventing development that cannot result in a healthy pregnancy.
RPL refers to two or more consecutive pregnancy losses involving chromosomally normal (euploid) embryos. It affects about 1–5% of women and often requires evaluation by a fertility specialist to determine underlying causes or patterns.
If you’ve experienced one or multiple pregnancy losses, or you’re unsure why your pregnancies aren’t continuing, you don’t have to face this alone.
